Unfortunately, we are not very satisfied with the hotel. At first glance, it appears clean, but upon closer inspection, it is poorly cleaned (many stains on doors and light switches, which could have been easily removed). The breakfast could have been good if it had been refilled regularly. Unfortunately, there was no daily room service or anything similar. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially considering its distance from the city center—it simply doesn’t offer enough advantages to make the trip worthwhile. There is a billiard table in the bar, but playing in the evening (after 11 p.m.) is no longer possible.

✅ What’s Good • Room Cleanliness: The rooms are well-maintained and cleaned to a high standard. Housekeeping does a great job ensuring the environment feels fresh and tidy. • Modern Design: The hotel looks quite modern and gives a good first impression on arrival. ❌ Areas That Need Serious Improvement • Unreliable Air Conditioning: Despite appearing to have a smart air conditioning unit, it functions poorly. The system keeps turning off on its own, apparently due to centralized programming. No matter how you set the controls, it will automatically shut down. This is especially frustrating at night if you like a cool room to sleep in—it simply won’t stay on. • Limited Screen Share Functionality: The in-room TV claims to support screen sharing, but it only works if you’re using an Android device. iPhone or iOS users are out of luck. This is a major downside for Apple users looking to stream content from their devices. • Terrible for Accessing Central Amsterdam: This is perhaps the biggest issue. If your plans include frequent trips to downtown Amsterdam, this hotel is a poor choice. Public transportation access is inconvenient, and if you rely on taxis, be prepared for very high costs—getting to Amsterdam Central can become quite expensive quickly. ⚖️ Final Thoughts While the hotel delivers on cleanliness and aesthetic appeal, the practical issues—from air conditioning to location and tech limitations—overshadow the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this property for travelers planning to explore central Amsterdam or who expect reliable in-room comfort and technology.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly woman ( woman with curly hair) at the reception. She took her time to explain everything to us clearly, pointed out important information in a polite way, and answered all of my questions with patience. This made our check-in experience very pleasant and relaxed. Unfortunately, the check-out was a completely different experience. The woman at the reception (old blonde bigger size woman) during check-out was quite rude from the start. One of our key cards (1 of 6) didn’t have the small cardboard sleeve with the room number, and she immediately asked in an annoyed tone where it was. After a short outburst, she simply scanned the card and saw the room number immediately, which makes one wonder why she didn’t just do that in the first place. Her explanation of the remaining charges (tax and parking fees) was unclear and difficult to understand due to her strong Dutch accent. When I politely asked her to explain how the deposit would be handled, she seemed visibly annoyed and gave me a very brief and confusing explanation. I also told her that we had lost my one of the parking ticket and asked if she could let me out of the parking garage. The day before, I had lost my ticket as well, and the friendly receptionist told me it was no problem and just to press the info button. This time, however, the woman simply said it was my problem and that I should find the ticket myself. I found this response extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I always try to be polite and respectful to people, and I really tried to stay calm and friendly with her too. But in the end, I couldn’t help but feel frustrated and disappointed by her attitude. Customer service should be a priority, especially at the reception, and this kind of behavior is unacceptable. I also couldn’t help but notice that she acted much friendlier to the Dutch guests who checked out after me, which left me wondering if I was treated differently for personal or racist reasons. The room itself was okay to sleep in, but not very clean, surfaces were dusty and didn’t feel hygienic. However, for the price it was absolutely fine, especially since it included a kitchen and air conditioning. Overall, while our check-in experience was lovely, the check-out and the way I was treated by one staff member left a very negative impression. I strongly believe that such a person should not be working at the front desk, where respectful and helpful service is essential.
