Stayed here recently and had a mixed but overall pleasant experience. The location is peaceful and close to a lovely beach, with a little boat that takes you to the Old Port for €5 — a charming touch. The hotel itself is dated and definitely needs some restoration, but the rooms are clean and a good size. What really stood out was the staff — warm, helpful, and genuinely kind. Breakfast and dinner were both better than expected, with good variety and nice views. It’s a bit of a walk (900m) to the bus stop, so keep that in mind if you’re not driving. Not perfect, but if you’re after peace and great hospitality, it does the job
My partner and I recently stayed at the Radisson Skiathos and had an enjoyable time, though there were a number of issues that made the stay less comfortable than expected. Pros: - The pool area is lovely and there was always space to relax. - The bar staff were really friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. - Close to a beach with beautiful water and a great local taverna. - Close to the water taxi into town. - The air conditioning was super strong and much appreciated in the heat. Cons: - The wifi in block B was VERY poor. It made it difficult to research activities, contact family (especially frustrating on my birthday), and it was impossible to stream music/watch TV in the evenings. Little things that really hinder the holiday experience! - There was also no mobile signal in the room, so we couldn’t even use our own data as a backup. 5 days in, we asked to move rooms because the lack of connection was impacting our stay, we were told someone would get back to us but no one did. -Housekeeping was inconsistent. Cups from the bar and room service were left, toilet roll wasn’t replenished, and the bathroom was a constant issue with the shower overflowing easily, leaving the floor and shower mat soggy throughout the day. - The heavy doors in the corridor echoed loudly, and we were woken up frequently at night and early in the morning by the banging. - We asked for a late checkout (just one extra hour, as we were leaving at 12pm) but were told no despite the fact our room wasn’t ready when we arrived after 3pm. We sat in the communal seating area and could see the cleaners didn’t make it to our room before 12, could have been an easy win since we had already complained about wifi and toiletries to the front desk. The customer service on the front desk wasn’t anywhere near as good as the bar staff/staff around the pool. - The nearest bus stop is a steep 10-minute uphill walk, and taxis into town cost €20-25 each way, which quickly adds up. Just something to be aware of rather than a flaw of the hotel as the nearby beach really is lovely! - Drinks at the hotel bar were on the expensive side (€7 for a small beer and €14.50 for a cocktail) the hotel really isn’t nice enough to justify these prices on top of the room prices. Overall, it’s a stylish hotel with some lovely elements, but a few too many practical issues for us to give a higher rating. I would not stay here again.
We were upgraded for a better room they said. But we haven’t felt like that. The WIFI was a disaster. Not possible to even surf on the net. Every click it takes 2mins to react. If you have some work to be done online forget it to do it here. And where the hotel is located the cell phone network is not reachable to your phone. We went to close our account on our check out and we’ve waited at least 15mins because they use the same WIFI at the reception so nothing is working on that matter. But the employees are great and very helpful at the pool and at the breakfast. But the hotel is very unorganized and it’s really different from the other experiences we had with Radisson. Pitty!!!
