Great location. Nice staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast- lovely fruit Good room- does look like the pictures but in real life needs looking after; simple things, wood polish, water marks etc. If it was 3star it would be excellent. But as 4star it’s good. Having said that, it seems like the best option in railay for a balance of comfort, peace, beach, climbing and hikes. We had a seafood platter from here which was lovely. The surrounding gardens is also very nice to walk through. Check in was a bit chaotic. The reception did look very busy. We got moved from one room to another and then we had the housekeeper in our room finishing it off. We hadn’t asked to be rushed into a room. We were patient so was surprised for the chaos. We had dinner at the 5star hotel and it was a nice moment of luxury but probably too boring to stay at.
This place was large, a little out-of-date but had a nice vila on the beach feel. We enjoyed how easy it was to get around and the 2 pool options. The food wasn't great and service took awhile, we were forgotten about more than once. We were also surprised by the amount of children here, definitely family friendly if thats what your going for.
It was a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. The beach view was absolutely stunning and took our breath away truly the highlight of the stay. However, there are a few areas that really need improvement. While the room was spacious and nicely designed, it looked very old and outdated. A little refresh like a new coat of paint and updated furnishings would make a big difference. The electrical plugs need to be upgraded to modern ones, and the TV definitely needs replacing a smart TV would be great so we can at least access YouTube or Netflix, especially for foreign guests like us. The current TV only had Thai channels, so it was quite boring with no entertainment options. The hotel grounds at night were quite dark and only lit when you walk past a sensor. It felt unsafe and a bit creepy. Keeping the paths properly lit at night would really help. Also the monkeys. We don’t mind them being around, but they often poop along the walkways, and no one cleans it up. It’s honestly disgusting and really ruins the experience when you’re trying to enjoy the place. Cleanliness is so important, especially in public walking areas. Lastly, there was no buggy service available around the resort. Having to walk everywhere was very tiring, especially there is a monkey poop and in the heat or after a long day. Even though staff saw us walking, no one offered us a ride. This hotel has a lot of potential with its amazing location and view, but a few upgrades and better maintenance would really take it to the next level.
