Location I thought was perfect. Lets start with the good. Literally on the beach and in the centre of all of it. Aesthetically it looks great from the outside. The pool is big and really nice. The breakfast is also really big with decent food and great views. To be fair in the Junior Suite the bed was great with great pillow and the AC is cold. So these are great things. The Importsnt part: Sea facing rooms are a disaster. Its so noisy and bass is so loud from bars until 2am. You cant drown it out. This is a Junior Suite room. 526. Room are old and need attention. Paint, unlean towels. TV twice I have visited ha snot worked. Not a major deal but there you go. Staff are basic. Not overly helpful, not attentive and if you do have an issue its not going g to be resolved. So today 21st August as I write this. I returned to the hotel with my 10 year old daughter. I approached reception just with a question, to then be told I need to leave my room as they upgraded me for the first night of my 4 night stay. This is 23.30. They said they tried to call my room all day. Now who stays in their room in Lombok??? No SMS, No Email, No call on my Mobile, No note. TERRIBLE Communication. They saw me 4 times at least during g the day to tell me and could have told me when I checked in which would not have been an issue. But to tell me at 11.30PM is outrageous. You can see from my many reviews I dont leave bad ones. But this needs addressing. Its poor. To make matters worse. I am on the Board of on of the World's leading Luxury Hotel Chains we would never allow or act like this in hospitality even if there are cultural differences. Just be aware. Location amazing. Some great things and comfortable. In the wrong room or sea view it can be extremely noisy. Simple fixes or leadership and communication could make it a great hotel and great CX Dr Lee.
My partner and I have a grand Seaview room on level 6. So far room is of average to poor quality with all the interior finishings, painting, grouting on tiles etc. Sad beacuse it could be top notch for the location. Pillow cases look dirty, not changed, can smell previous persons hair odour. Towels and bath mats need bleaching and don't even match. Pool looks a bit murky and cloudy. And the extremely loud music, playing all night!! No sleep! from the apoko bar across the road comes straight thru the rattly sliding doors which don't seem to close tightly. Hmmmm. It is a good view of the seafront but those comments above are very disappointing. Its a huge place needs proper care with the cleanliness. Yes a bit of a let down considering how much it costs. Sorry to tell my truth.
The hotel is very run down. We never received clean towels, and the bed sheets were always dirty. It seems they don’t care about providing fresh linens or towels. The pool is currently closed because it is extremely dirty — the water is cloudy and it’s obvious it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. If you want to do laundry, do not give it to the hotel. We paid €40 for less than 5 kg, which is far too expensive for Indonesia. At local laundries, you could wash your clothes five times for the same price. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values hygiene and their money.
