Rak Elegant Hotel Patong

Visited Thailand in 2022 and stayed here for a large duration of my trip. I stayed here for a few days and went to another city, but I loved it so much I decided to come back. This hotel was wonderful. Staff are so friendly and kind. The hotel room itself was very nice and the views from it were beautiful. The rooftop pool was an added bonus. The location is also good, more on the outskirts of patong so it was generally nice and quiet/peaceful but not too far from restaurants, spas, etc. I was able to walk most places throughout patong. Self serve/all you can eat breakfast was worth it (included in my booking). All in all, the hotel (and restaurant) has unmatched vibes.

Good hotel, clean and comfortable. We had a nice stay. Great value for money. But mosquitoes were annoying. The balcony has chairs without a table.

We stayed at this hotel for five days, and overall, it was a disappointing experience. For the first two days, the hotel’s pool was unavailable due to deep cleaning, according to the hotel. On the third day, there was an extremely loud and nearly unbearable noise, which the hotel attributed to a power outage in Patong and the use of their backup power system. Room service was very poor. We ordered a bucket of ice every night, as it was listed on the room service menu. On the third night, they informed us that the restaurant was closed. The following night, the restaurant claimed they had no ice and made no effort to source it from elsewhere, which was quite frustrating. The restaurant’s food was terrible and of very low quality. The room itself was not comfortable. The windows were poorly insulated, so we could hear all the street noise, making it difficult to sleep. We chose this hotel primarily for its low price and good location, as we planned to spend most of our time outside. While it is close to Patong Beach and the nightlife, be aware that there are steep uphills on both sides of the street leading to RAK Elegant Hotel, which might be inconvenient for some. The condition of the towels and even the pillow covers was unacceptable—they were torn and worn out. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel at all.
