Ramada by Wyndham Almaty

Our stay at Ramada by Wyndham Almaty was far below expectations. We booked two rooms — one for our kids and one for us. While the kids' room was somewhat acceptable, our King Room with City View was a letdown: the view was blocked, the room was dark, unclean, and didn’t match the photos online. At check-in, there were no towels, no tissues, and instead of proper face tissues, toilet paper was used everywhere, even at the bedside. The bathtub was partially clogged, the pillows were uncomfortable, and the toilet paper was stained — all unacceptable for a hotel of this brand. When I requested a room change to something similar to the kids' room, staff were unhelpful and dismissive. On top of that, I was charged before check-in, then charged the full amount again at arrival, and the first charge still hadn’t been refunded by the next day — with no action from the staff. Overall, this was a disappointing experience with poor hygiene, bad customer service, and billing issues. Definitely not up to Wyndham standards. Not recommended unless major improvements are made.

I previously stayed here in July 2019 and again in 2020, but I was shocked by the poor experience this time. The food selection was limited, particularly when it came to fruits, and there was no fresh bread. Our bedroom window was damaged and left open, allowing insects to enter—we even had to call room service to remove a large praying mantis. On top of that, the room had a shade that completely blocked the outside view. Frankly, the entire hotel is in need of renovation

I will never stay here. The staff were not professional at all.. We've encountered multiple issues with their communication as they ignored all my messages on this app when it was urgent to communicate before the check-in, but ended up having my little daughter wait at the lobby for hours at midnight due to their lack of professionalism. I just wish the staff to be properly trained to at least check their official messages, because it is causing incredible amount of stress in addition to the usual stress that comes with traveling... I will never stay here again as I want to have a peace of mind when traveling...
