What an awesome place to experience Budapest- closest to all the shopping street and food hub of Budapest. Close to the river for a good view of Budapest at night. Few minutes from bus and train station that can take you everywhere. Bonus is the excellent service from the staffs even with the cleaning staffs. They welcome you with that happy Hungarian hospitality. The room is very clean and spacious. Its definitely very luxurious inside. Highly recommended this hotel and its great value for its price.
We spend a weekend at the Ramada by Wyndham Budapest City Center. It was overall a a pleasant experience. The breakfast was ok, the options were for every taste. We just only wished we had a room with a balcony where we could smoke. Maybe the concierge/the front desk attendant could ask.
The most important part of any hotel room is the bed. The bed feels like laying down on an office carpet over concrete. We slept about 2 hours. I briefly fell asleep and woke up to everything below my neck was numb. The room was 29 degrees when we got there. The AC ran all night, it got down to 26 after 7 hours. The room was clean. The pictures showed it to be bigger. Overall, it's very cramped, you will bump your knees and ankles a lot against everything. There is not enough space to open your suitcase other than on top of the bed. The bathroom was ok. The phone in the room is for decoration. It is an empty plastic phone that's plugged into the phone outlet but not into the power. They give you an alternative number to call on your room key. When you call with that number, the front desk pick up then immediately hang up. For 150 Euro you can do better elsewhere.
