Ramada by Wyndham Graz

It’s a hotel by the highway, so it’s conveniently located if you’re on the road, but to our surprise, they charge 12 euros to park your car in front of the hotel. That feels somewhat like a rip-off. Due to its location, everyone arrives by car, and it’s in the middle of nowhere. The parking fee should be included in the room price. Above that they charged us 5 euro city tax whilst we were far away from the city along the highway. Additionally, the air conditioning worked very poorly, so we slept badly. It was very warm in the room, even though it was only 14 degrees outside. Opening a window wasn’t an option because of the hotel’s position next to the highway. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

I have never in my life written such a negative review, but this place truly deserves it. We were returning from Croatia with family and needed a simple hotel for one night. We weren’t expecting anything luxurious — just something clean and functional. How this hotel has 4 stars and is part of the Wyndham group is beyond comprehension. The rooms are dirty, with stains clearly visible on the bathroom floor. The windows are filled with hundreds of dead flies and insects. The air conditioning is a complete myth — it simply doesn’t work. If you happen to stay on a warm day (25°C or more), you’re done for. The room was unbearably stuffy, and although the AC controller seems to be working, it doesn’t actually do anything. The hotel proudly advertises air-conditioned rooms — that’s false. In the minibar: one bottle of mineral water for three people. Ridiculous. Parking? Completely empty, barrier lifted — and still, they charge €12 per night. An absolute joke. The cherry on top was the waiter/bartender, who seemed personally offended that I wanted to pay by card. Even worse, during payment, he deliberately turned the terminal away so the amount wasn’t visible to me — and, surprise: the amount charged didn’t match the prices listed in the menu. Open scam. Avoid this place at all costs.

I stayed at the hotel 4 days. Outside was arround 30 degrees but AC made only noise instead of cooling the room. There was NO CLEANING in all my sejour!!! Not even the trash!!! In the morning at breakfast the refilling of the plates with food was done very slowly or not at all. There is NOT a RAMADA 4 stars hotel!
