Ramada by Wyndham Meridin Johor Bahru

The reviews here made me very worried so I was thankful when I found that it wasn’t as bad as expected. It’s a very basic 3 star hotel. All basic amenities are included and the pool looks pretty nice. The view is pretty nice too. But don’t expect anything more. The curtains are old and dirty. The bed is of cheap quality. The bedding isn’t the cleanest because my sensitive skin itches when I lie in bed. The toilet is very small. The mall downstairs is creepy because there are no tenants. If you are hungry at night, there’s nothing available other than Grab. On the whole, it’s still clean and pleasant enough for 1-2 nights if you are in the area and on a budget.

When family visited we were expecting a 4 star hotel.. this is more like a two star experience. Rooms are quite basic and lots of marks and scratches all over the rooms and hotel facilities. Staff are not very attentive to concerns.. waited 30 mins to checkin and only received one key card for a family of four. Breakfast buffet very basic and coffee machine out of service? Never in my time has coffee not been available at breakfast service? Our time at ramada was not the worst experience we've had but will certainly not be rushing back to a ramada hotel.

I spent SGD 200 for a one-night stay in a 2-bedroom suite, but the room was quite run down, It felt like a waste of money. For the condition of the room, I would only pay a maximum of SGD 100. Definitely not worth the price I paid.
