The room is basic, the bathroom smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. We was a family of 4, but only 1 large towel and 2 cups provided in the room. It was definitely not set up for our family. Reception was quick at actioning what we needed when asked. This was ok for a stop over on a long journey but that is all. Beds were OK, pillows comfy, slept well. Could not hear any noise. Breakfast was nice and varied, catered for all. Would definitely recommend having the breakfast.

We booked a room to relax for a few hours before continuing our car road trip. The room is big. The bed is comfortable. The price was ok compared to other hotels. But the sink was dirty: splashes of white and blue toothpaste around it (I used 2 of the literally 3 tissues that I found in the tissue box to wipe the dirt). The faucet was shaky with black dirt around it. The light switch had a brownish/ rusty color on it (I hope from food, not a stinky thing!). The soap dispenser had dried soap lines running down it. The shower wasn't cleaned at all: dried soap marks running down the door and shower parts had dried water spots all over. You could see spots of coffee splashes on the wall near the cups/ water boiler.

We stayed the last week in May and the reception staff were very friendly when we checked in. We were given a twin room which I’d asked for and it didn’t look pleasant from the off. We found what appeared to human excrement on the carpet and unfortunately I was so disgusted I flushed it away. After having another look round I reported this to the reception and I was asked if it was human or animal. Either way if the room had been cleaned there would have been neither. Looking around the room part of the net curtain was hanging down. Where the bed had been moved to make it a twin the carpet and skirting board were filthy. One light was loose on the wall. We were however given another room which again the carpet was very unpleasant. Again it had not been cleaned between the beds and there were sweet wrappers on the floor. One wall light didn’t work and I was told they had no replacement bulbs. The other was loose. We had no net curtain in this room so we had to have the curtains drawn at all times. I know it’s a budget hotel but it should have been clean and the beds were uncomfortable so we did not have a too good a nights sleep. As my wife said we will never stay there again especially as the next two nights we stayed in a far superior and comfortable Premier Inn where we had a very pleasant stay.
