Ramada Cucuta

Nice hotel, has all you need. Internet is a bit slow but manageable. Rooms are small but comfortable. Nice buffet and great staff. Location is good and has every kind of shop you need nearby. Not noisy at night.

The place is clean, the people that work there is always nice and helpful in every way, the food is great and cheap, it's very central so people can go everywhere from the hotel. I always have nice experience everytime I go and stay there. The only thing is the new administration took away the coffee makers from the rooms and this was very much necessary.

It may say 'Ramada' on the building but this place is not like the Ramada I have ever known. Put simply: the place is a dump. I booked for three days, including breakfast. The first room that I was allocated was a dark spartan-like cell that was utterly depressing. No fridge or coffee-making facilities, The second room was very slightly better; it did have a fridge but when the thermostat kicked in and the motor stopped, the cooling mechanism rattled and created a huge vibrating racket! I just unplugged the fridge. I only attended breakfast once. The dining room was grubby. The gruel was dished out by staff and was absolutely disgusting. The fresh fruit was an unpeeled orange or a mush of water melon. The coffee was in a flask and tasted as if it was boiled. The Internet didn't work for two of the three days, and there was also no hot water in the afternoon.
