What a fantastic hotel. Location: Very centrally located – a minutes’ walk to the station and the bus stop, a minute to a cute snack place right behind the hotel that was open late into the night, a minute to the convenience store, a few minutes to an olive young. Service: the staff were very polite and attentive, taking time to explain services, the wow pass machine and giving advice on our itinerary Room and amenities: the room was clean and well designed. All amenities were in working order and the highlight was the bathroom and mirror/s with amazing lighting – great for make up etc.
Room is on the smaller side, so it will be tight for double occupancy. We have to do a little creative furniture repositioning to efficiently use the limited space. Breakfast buffet is a complete let down, not worth paying $15 for. There are so many breakfast options around the Busan station area that's of better value.
The room is very basic. The usual kettle is there with a miserable two sachet of coffee and two tea bags. The room looks and smells dusty. I could see dust floating across the room. In the day the room is very hot without the air con. It reaches excess of 37 degrees. The air con takes a long while to cool the room down. It can be hours before it becomes cold enough. The hotel has a very tiny entrance and one could miss it easily. The lifts are fast though. The staff are reasonable and speak some English. They do not sound too friendly. Not sure if it is an issue with the English language or otherwise. However they seem to be more cheerful chatting in Korean with the Korean driver who came to pick me. In fact, I find the driver far more friendlier than the staff with the similar limited English he has. As I prefer not having the housekeeping staff to come into the room, they would leave a bag of clean towel and drinking water outside my room daily. It saves me the hassle to call housekeeping when I am back in the room. I find this arrangement useful. Within the same building, there is a CU 24 hours convenience store, a donut outlet, Starbucks. It is right across the Busan train station, the subway and a huge taxi stand. It is also the gathering point for the Busan City tour. So location wise it is excellent.
