The standard rooms are small. We switched to a suite which was only a third more with breakfast. Very roomy with a 10 × 20 patio. Non smoking floor but we could smell cigarette smoke at times coming in from the vents. Most people smoke here from my experience, so it is hard to avoid it. Lots of places to eat in the area.
Although close to sabiha Gokcen airport (25 minutes drive with taxi) Not really suitable one due to location being very loud and busy. There is a market infront of the hotel whose alarm rings the whole freaking night making you sleepless. Also the rooms were extremely slow not suitable for a family of 3 to stay. Bathroom also very small, shower not practical with water temperature going down and up! Breakfast is 650 lira per person, around 14 euros, not really reasonable!
Our overall experience at Ramada Encore Kartal was disappointing, especially considering the price. A few key issues impacted our stay: 1. Most of the reception staff lacked basic hospitality, appearing disinterested or even unfriendly—except for one helpful gentleman on the first night and a blonde lady who stood out positively. Housekeeping people were very helpful. 2. The room was extremely dark, making it quite uncomfortable. 3. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign provided, and despite our request, technicians entered the room to fix the lights without permission. 4. The toilet was unusually high—even for someone of average height (167 cm), it felt awkward. 5. Front desk staff were unable to arrange a suitable taxi for our 5 luggages and showed little effort to assist. 6. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and didn’t meet basic expectations at all. 7. Breakfast was repetitive and uninspiring, especially during our 5-night stay. 8. The bathroom was cramped, with poor drainage—water in the sink would remain for hours. 9. No bellboys to help us with our luggages. 10. Fridge was not working. Despite the Ramada brand name, this hotel fell short on several basic standards. I am so sad that I have spent my money there and I strongly do not recommend it to any type of stay for anyone!!
