Ramada Encore by Wyndham Whale Cove

Amazing accommodation with a pool & spa. We stayed in the apartments which was fantastic from a family point of view (2A and 2C) with lounge rooms, TV's, a spare room, a large main bedroom with a walk thru robe, a bedroom with 2 single beds, a shared bathroom, a kitchen with D/W, stove & microwave, large fridge, washing machine and dryer, along with A/C!! A bit of of town so having a car is preferable but good access to public transport. Excellent access to the marina for meals or going on cruises around Fraser island.

We stayed in a private appartment owned by a owner in this complex. Able to access all ammentities on our stay. Its not on the main beach front although it is a 5 miniute drive to the esplanade and main shops. Parking was easy and gated access to the complex. We have been coming here for 25 years as we have a rental home here as well. The unit was 30 stairs up to drag our bags up to. No lifts for wheel chair access to the second floor. There are smaller shops not to far from this complex a take away and bakery just minutes from here. There are attractions here with in 5 to 10 miniutes drive from this location. Eg whale watching cruises turtle aquarium , walking on the front beach and the one klm walk on the pier. Our appartment was not worth the money we payed. We stayed at other locations much nicer than these dated appartments. Our one wasnt very clean and had to get clean sheets bought to our stay late at night as we went out came back to find the bedding smelt and we werent going to sleep in dirty bedding. The bathroom wasnt very clean either finding hair on the floor. We booked through air b n b . We wished we kept our original bookings that we cancelled. The appartments do have pool and spa bbq area and games room on site. The unit didnt have wifi, the aircon didnt work that to we had to clean from battery acid leak to get new batteries. We will never book here again.

Genuinely disappointed. The rooms were date. Air con only available in the living area (not bedrooms). Beds were super uncomfortable. Room was dirty; hair was all over the shower/shower caddy. Dryer in our room was broken Staff are lovely & super helpful. Cannot fault them. Unfortunately, the facilities let them down. Definitely not 4 star. There are far better places to stay in the bay at this price point.
