Pros: 1. Convenient location near the Myeongdong shopping area, with a bus stop nearby. Relatively affordable. 2. Spacious room equipped with a washing machine, stove, and fridge. 3. Quiet environment with well-mannered guests. 4. Direct K-Limousine airport bus stop located right below the hotel—makes getting to the airport hassle-free. Cons: 1. Air conditioning was not functioning properly and required special arrangements to use. Thankfully, the chilly April weather made it manageable. 2. Filtered water system was not working. 3. No saucepan provided, so the stove couldn’t be used for cooking. 4. Limited kitchenware—no plates and only one teaspoon available.
The room looks like a sad old apartment, nothing like the pictures in the advertisement. Besides that, I have the same comment with many people here regarding the service. The staffs at the reception definitely need to be retrained about their attitude towards customers. No smile, no welcoming attitude, just stone cold & arrogant attitude & language (I don’t know if it’s because they speak very basic English). Being in the hospitality industry & the hotel’s management accepts those attitude?!
We booked Ramada for 8 days, and not even 24 hours in, we were woken up before 9am by extremely loud construction noises from the room right next to us. It was so loud we couldn’t even hold a conversation, let alone relax or rest. When we reported it to reception, they didn’t even apologize. They just casually said the construction would be from 10am to 5pm every day and when we asked how long it would last, they said they didn’t know. I honestly have no idea why they would place guests right next to an active renovation, it shows a complete lack of care. We had an important appointment that day, so we arranged to switch rooms the next morning at 10am. But again, the noise started before 9am. It was honestly unbearable. We complained again, and they moved us to another room but the new room was nothing like the photos. The entire layout and standard was just totally downgraded. It felt like a completely different hotel from the one they advertise online. But we were initially willing to let that go without any complaints. However, what truly made the experience unbearable was the poor customer service we’ve received from the very beginning. Every time we approached reception whether it was about the unbearable construction noise, the lack of information, or the room change, that one staff was consistently cold, dismissive, and unhelpful. At no point were we offered a genuine apology or even treated with basic courtesy. When we raised our concerns about the room, the receptionist responded in a condescending and indifferent tone, simply saying “It’s different,” with no further explanation. It wasn’t just one interaction, it was a pattern of unwelcoming, unprofessional behavior from the very first day. And that’s ultimately what made our experience so disappointing. Had the staff shown even a bit of understanding or hospitality, we would’ve been much more patient and understanding. Instead, we were made to feel like we were a burden for simply asking for what we paid for. The service has been so bad that we honestly don’t even want to stay the remaining 6 days. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. There’s no accountability, no hospitality, and no peace here.
