Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ballina Byron

We stayed in room 410 for 3 nights. A lovely, clean, riverside, 1 bedroom suite. It has a large kitchen, and is one of the few that have a spa bath, which we prefer. When we wanted to have a bath, the plug provided was too big. The manager checked it himself and gave us 2 other plugs to try. We ended up using the vanity plug as the 2 provided didn't fit well either. We then discovered we were unable to access the bathroom products from the bath and as they were locked in place in the shower, we had to request individual products. We were given 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, and 2 small soaps for 3 nights for 2 people who both use the bath. The thought of having to request these items on a daily basis was off-putting, so purchased our own products. We were advised this had been an ongoing practice for 6 months and yet we were the first to complain, which I find hard to believe. When we used the bath, water leaked from the toilet all over the floor. We took pictures of where the leak was coming from and provided them to Sally, at reception, who was most helpful and a lovely ambassador for the Ramada brand.

We stayed two nights in Ballina. The room had a lovely view of the river. It was spacious with a comfy bed. It was pricey for what we got. The shower was worn. The heaters took ages to get going. We had access to a laundry area which was great. The full kitchen had limited everything. It could have had more items to help us with cooking. The fridge was on an angle with a couple of dints in it. Overall comfortable but needing some updates. Expensive we thought.

A great place to stay whilst visiting Ballina - the service is very good - we were well looked after by all staff from reception to the bar to the restaurant. The food is great and the river views are fantastic - will stay here again.
