Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Samsun

I've been using Ramada and Wyndham chain for my trips all over the Europe, especially in Turkiye. As a business traveller, there isn't so many hotels that I can recommend that much. This stuff is well trained and they know what they are doing. I highly recommend them.

We spent one night in Samsun on our way back from Antalya to our homeland, Georgia. I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was great—quiet, comfortable, and a fantastic value. I highly recommend the restaurant; the staff, including Hüma, Ramazan, and Erkan, were very friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious.

I have been into many Ramadas from but this one has been the worse of overall. We chose this place to celebrate my birthday and it’s my partner and booked it as a treat. But this was the worse choice ever. We got there with great vibes and got allocated a room (405). We asked for a non smoking room specifically but turns out our room reeked of cigarettes. We ignore the lingering smell but it got worse and the whole room was stinking of ashtray at about midnight and it got worse that our asthma kicked in. We called the receptionist but the tone was very unhelpful and then got allocated another room. Which smell a bit too but never mind. We hate complaining. Luckily hospital was nearby and we had medicines. Bad health going forward. We wanted to use the gym and sauna but it was turned off and we requested to turn it on but they did not and the gym was smelly and damped. We requested for a refund as this was not suitable at all but they refused and compensated by offering us some nuts and plastic wrapped fruits. Horrendous experience and still in shock by this place. Please avoid it if you don’t want lung 🫁 cancer and waste of money. 💰 requesting refund strictly. Thanks for ruining my birthday Ramada. Great one. 🙏🏽👍🏽
