Rapopo Plantation Resort

Absolutely loved my 10 days at Rapopo. The highlight being the wonderful staff and equally amazing food. Reasonable priced as well. The housekeeping was immaculate every day, pool and general facilities very clean at all times. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Absolutely amazing place. I had an extended stay and loved my time there. The location is beautiful with epic views of the volcanoes across the water and the most beautiful Pacific Ocean sunsets. The food is really good and the assortment and variety of different things to eat is vast. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - there is chicken, steak, fish, seafood, noodles, and sandwich options. The Rapopo breakfast is simple and hearty. Eggs however you’d like them, sausage, bacon, and local vegetables and fruit. Delicious. You can also enjoy the complimentary breakfast with bread or toast. Cereals, and fruits. Coffee is classic drip or espresso machine style. The rooms are very well kept. Clean, spacious, all ocean views, and have plenty of amenities offered. I was pleasantly surprised at just how big the rooms are! The staff! Oh man, the staff are what make this place the absolute very best hotel/resort in all of Kokopo, all of East New Britain, dare I say all of PNG?! Jerry, Elizabeth, Rita, Joan, Puna, Jubilee, and everyone else has made me feel like I am part of their family. They take their job seriously and will take the absolute best care of you, every one of the staff. I love them. They are the most caring and sweet people, and I have never seen them not smiling. The owner Meghan is such a sweetheart as well, she has been very kind and supportive to me and helped me feel accepted and comfortable in my extended stay. One thing is for sure, when I come back to PNG, I’m staying here again because I like the feeling of coming home.

Great friendly hospitality. I stayed at the log cabin beachfront so my view rates itself. 🤙🏾 Family friendly with a nice pool. Cleaner than most big hotels Ive stayed at for sure! If you're visiting East New Britain - Papua New Guinea with family. I'd recommend this!
