Ravana Garden

We spent 13 wonderful nights at Ravana Garden celebrating our 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary in March and the staff couldn't have made it any more special for us. From the first point of contact to make our hotel reservation and later to organise transfers from and to the airport and additional excursions that we wanted to arrange for Whale and Dolphin Watching in Mirassa, Yala National Park and a trip to a Craft Centre, Dilki proved invaluable responding to our emails promptly and efficiently. On arrival at the Resort we were greeted warmly by the staff and knew instantly that we had chosen our perfect location. The garden suite we had was spacious and so was the outside shower, the room was spotless and was cleaned daily. The plunge pool was private and just what was needed to cool off on a hot afternoon. Dining was a delightful experience with each meal freshly cooked with delicious locally sourced ingredients and always presented so beautifully. On our anniversary the evening meal was served on the beach with a bonfire and the moonlight making it a truly romantic setting, they also presented us with a home made cake and personal gifts for us to mark the occasion. The walk to the local temple, the bike ride and picnic around the hotel area were really enjoyable and it was amazing how much wildlife was just outside and around the hotel, including various birds, water buffalo, monitor lizards, mongoose and of course, the monkeys. Our visit to the Kalametyia Bird Sanctuary early one morning was one not to be missed, gliding along the river on a catamaran with our knowledgeable guide pointing out numerous varieties of birds was both interesting and so relaxing. We would highly recommend making the most of the spa facilities on offer here, the treatments that we had were relaxing and a beneficial experience. Each and every member of staff were wonderful and what shone through was their kind and friendly approach, they could not have done any more to make this holiday more special. We would highly recommend Ravana Garden for its peaceful and wonderful location, locally sourced and delicious food, its uniqueness and the staff who work so hard to make this such a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing one-night stay at Ravana Garden boutique hotel last week. The staff welcomed us very warmly when we arrived at the hotel. This is a unique kind of hotel that embraces a sustainable concept. Here you can experience the delicious rustic food in Sri Lanka. But I suggest that it would be great if there were more varieties of foods to choose from. The candle-light dinner was served on the beach with a bonfire. It was a nice experience and the dinner included delicious seafood as well. And climbing Mount Ussangoda was a highlight experience here. We had our evening snack with a beautiful sunset on Ussangoda mountain. Here each and every member of staff was wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Especially Mr Lakshitha, who guided us in many activities,Thank you for your great service.

Hotel Ravana is the perfect place to relax and recharge. The calm atmosphere, healthy meals, and attentive staff made our stay memorable. The head massage at the spa was especially relaxing — they customized it exactly to our personal preferences, which was impressive. The plunge pool is also a must-try for anyone looking to truly unwind. Ussangoda hike gives a unique experience. Ideal to stay at least two days for the full experience. A small suggestion: carpeting or improving the byroad to the entrance would add to the comfort.
