The hotel is very nice, it has a great Pool, the reception smells terrific and they always have nice music and complimentary coffee in the mornings. People working at the front desk are very nice and helpful, specifically Roxana, Marcos and another man whose name I can’t recall, it begins with an A, he has very few hair and he always has a smile and he is very nice. Graciela the lady who cleaned our room was very friendly and nice! The staff at the restaurant is not so helpful, the captain was nice but the service at the swimming pool is very poor. We had to wait for almost an hour for our drinks, unless we went directly the restaurant, and even then…. They never came back with the bill, but they had the courage to knock at our door at 11:30 pm for the bill!!!!!! We were asleep! We stayed there 3 weeks, they could have waited for the next morning…. The hallway was very noisy, people just walk, talk and even shout with no consideration for the other guests. The luggage cars are extremely noisy. As well as the cleaning cars.
Once I checked in, all was good. Checking in was not. Guy at desk told me that I did not have a reservation. He was rude and dismissive. I had to show it to him my phone. He was not welcoming at all. That said, Rita kept my room immaculate and was great. Room was comfortable and I loved the pool. I
One of the worst experiences I’ve had -rooms are old, dirty and severely lacking maintenance, especially the bathrooms. Stairs and hallways smell like pee. The phone and sink in my room were broken and personnel did not fix them despite saying they would do so. Housekeepers refused to give us an extra towel (which by the way are super old and in rags). However by far the main problem was the noise. People partying and running around the hallways all night -definitely not family friendly and hotel personnel did nothing to control it. It seems like they run parties in the pool area until very late which would be nice to know before booking. Would never stay again and never recommend.
