Real de Puebla

Location is the best positive thing about this hotel. Everything is on walkable distance. The hotel itself needs some upgrading. You can see that it was once a very good hotel. Now 2 stars so as aspects. Prices are great

Nice hotel at La Paz neighbourhood, pretty close to Puebla’s night life and so that, is a lil bit noisy very late after the sunset, the hotel has a pool but there is no heater, and then the water is always freezing cold, the shower is not an exception, the only moment the water is hot is in the morning, later than that, the water will start getting colder. The buffet breakfast is served starting from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm with an extra cost. The rooms have an appropriate size, there is a lil dinner table, a coffee machine, a portable table with its iron (you have to request it at the front desk), there is a safe box, a closet, a hairdryer, a flatscreen and a ceiling fan. We have stayed here frequently and all those times the staff have helped us with all our inquiries with a quite friendly attitude, there is an outdoor carpark and public transportation nearby. The hotel is a lil bit far from the city centre, roughly at 2 kilometres by walking and if you have a dog and are worried about who will take care of, the hotel is pet friendly, so, take it with you.

This hotel was extremely noisy. Karaoke at night Thursday and Friday was so loud I could hear it with earplugs on the third floor. Saturday there was a wedding with loud TRUMPET well past 1 a.m. Bar has erratic hours and drinks are very expensive. Beds have small uncomfortable mattresses and huge stiff pillows. Pool does not have much sun and no towel service. Business travelers would be well advised to look elsewhere if they want a good night's sleep. Also there was NO hot water in the shower. Room service is advertised to be until 1 a.m.. but noone answered the phone when I called at 10:45 even though there was a wedding going on in the main restaurant. Very frustrating.
