Redang Island Resort

Stayed there for 2 nights. The room was basic but decent, nothing fancy. Breakfast wasn’t great—very limited and not super appetizing. On the bright side, the receptionists were super nice and helpful throughout the stay. The view from the resort was lovely and peaceful. They provide free pick-up and drop-off from Redang Jetty for check-in and check-out, just make sure you inform them ahead of time. Not much to do at night, it’s very quiet. You can rent a bike for RM60/day if you want to explore, but honestly, there’s not a lot happening around the resort. A good option if you're just looking to relax and disconnect.

A little isolated with just a small private beach. Fried rice quite poorly cooked and the fried chicken was dry chewy and bland. Buffet breakfast variety was quite poor! Very helpful front desk staff who allowed us to check in early!

I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a couple of positive aspects, overall the experience was disappointing. Positive points: The hotel offers a beautiful view of the port, which we really enjoyed. We also appreciated the bungalow accommodation with connecting rooms, which was very convenient for families. Negative points: Unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant was a major letdown. The food was neither fresh nor appetizing — greasy, lacking variety, and overall of poor quality. The breakfast buffet was a disaster, with very little choice and, worse, it caused food poisoning for several people in our group. Additionally, the location is quite remote, making it impossible to access the beach on foot. The shuttle service is not complimentary, which adds extra cost and inconvenience. Lastly, the bathroom in our bungalow was poorly maintained, which did not match the standards one would expect from a hotel in this category. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for those looking for good dining options and convenient access to the beach.
