Redgum Hill Country Retreat

Located in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, the cottage was fantastic for our family gateway! The wood furnished structure inside and out plus some other vantage elements represent its unique charm! The rooms are tidy and clean, fireplace is cozy, cooking utensils are plenty, kids enjoyed the spa, animals showing up around etc. Judith and Dirk are friendly , understanding and accommodating to our situation. Was a lovey stay and beautiful memory. Look forward to coming back !

We stayed in Gumnut Cottage for two nights. It was a lovely scenic drive to Redgum from Balingup. We saw emus and kangaroos and many birds and wildlife on the property. The bed and bedding, sheets etc were extremely comfortable and everything was good quality. We had our own private spa which was such a treat. Judy and Dirk were excellent hosts. Very generous and hospitable and welcoming. The cottage itself was so cute and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend this as your holiday stay. Relaxing, tranquil and a great place to recharge your batteries. We will definitely be back.

The location is good, the beds super comfy. The only let downs were the cooking facilities, cranking the wood stove to make dinner was an experience, luckily it was Winter. Not convenient to do it all over again in the morning for a cooked breakfast. So we decided to just have toast. The floorboards above are super creaky, so bare that in mind, the spa thermostat going on and off through the night is loud too. Price you pay to have a spa on the verandah I guess.
