This resort is so unique, so special and so close to the reef, if you love snorkeling, diving, fishing, you can't stay any closer to this beautiful reef! The staff, the food, the personal service is 2nd to none! Kid friendly, 2 pools, and the prettiest dock on the island! This resort is for the more refined vacationer, one might say guests who stay here will enjoy the serine feeling the moment you step on to the dock. Simply amazing! I will be back very soon! And I will bring family and friends with me.

I enjoyed everything about my weekend gateway here. Beautiful property, quite, friendly staff. What i didn't like was all the seaweed, which had a foul odor, and you could smell it throughout the property. At night, it gets really dark and needs more lighting. The worst part is the MOSQUITOES!!!!!! At night they aren't really a bother, but in the morning, YOU HAVE TO HAVE ON BUG SPRAY! They are going to get you real bad!

For travelers considering a stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort Belize, I'd recommend doing some research to make sure it's the right fit for your vacation style. While the resort has its pros, we encountered several issues that impacted our stay and didn't align with what was advertised. The biggest issue for us was the isolation. The large catamaran boat shuttle featured on their website has been sold and replaced by a much smaller boat. Exploring off-property very difficult you either rent a golf cart which most rental places will charge you an extra $100+ for delivery since you are so far or take their shuttle transport which costs $15 per day and is advertised to have two times leaving and two times returning the property not always the case as these are not set and may not run if there is no one leaving or going to the resort. The problems continued in our room, which was dirty with prominent stains on the furniture and floor. Additionally, the variety of restaurants they promote is misleading, as only the main one was open during our visit. This could be due to it being the slow season but still. I will say that the majority of the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, which we appreciated. And for that reason, if your vacation goal is to arrive at a beautiful property and never leave for the duration of your stay, Margaritaville might suit your needs perfectly. However, for travelers like us who want to explore the culture, food, and activities of Belize, the isolation is a major drawback. We ultimately cut our stay short and moved to a different hotel, which was a world of difference and allowed us the freedom we were looking for.
