Gehad at the relax pool was a phenomenal member of the hotel team. He went out of his way to make our time at the pool comfortable and memorable for example he remembered our typical orders at different points in the day and will bring them to us unprompted this made it our time much more relaxing and also made us feel like we were genuinely cared for. Hamdi from the housekeeping team was also an excellent member of staff. Our room was always spotless and he would leave wonderful surprises like towel sculptures every day he would check that we were happy with our room and ask if we needed anything restocking he also always made sure to add extra of our favourite beverages to the mini fridge. Overall, our time at the hotel was wonderful; The food was excellent, the hotel was beautiful and every staff member went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The only issue we had was that we had only booked for one week we easily could’ve moved in and never left.
I am very sad that I have to give only one star for the stay(which I eventually revised to three in the end. ) For summer visit, I should warn you that you may be end up being the unfortunate customer. The problem is not just hot temperatures. The room had a broken air conditioner from the beginning and it was never fixed until the end of our stay. Surely we requested the reception to fix the A/C asap, not just once but multiple times and everyday. The did send engineers who spent time in the room working, but never succeeded fixing the A/C. (The temperature was 37 degree even in the night. ) Furthermore, nothing in the cooling box was cooled, including water bottles. It was a great frustration to have both cooling boxes that hardly cool. (This may be partly due to the hot room. ) I am writing this review outside the room seeking a breeze that may cool me down at this hot night. Who would come here if one knows there is no A/C that can cool the room. I mean this is a matter of protecting life, especially at such weather like this. ---- Update(Day 2): Due to my wife, who is sensitive to heat, going to the reception again at 11 PM and raising the air conditioning issue in a strong tone, demanding an immediate solution, an engineer revisited our room. We are earnestly hoping that the engineer's visit in the middle of the night will not be in vain. We hope the air conditioning gradually starts working sufficiently.) Update(Day 3): A/C did not work eventually. The engineer told it will cool in 10 minutes, but on the next day, we're still staying in the hot room at the temperature of 40 degrees outside. Really wished there be a little bit of night breeze to ease the pain. Update (Day 4): we got apologies from the manager along with some compensation for the inconvenience. After all, stay in the resort has been not bad. At least, they try to send their engineers to fix it. Though, what seems to be the only practical solution for this matter is changing the room, it was offered just one day before our check out. If you ask me will I visit again Reef Oasis, then I would say yes. But be careful if you consider your vacation in the August. It would be much better between March and June.
Pros: – Well-maintained grounds – Beautiful reef Cons: Unfortunately, we were given rooms of a lower category than the ones we had booked. One of the two rooms even had a view of a wall (pictured), although we had booked a Garden View. When we tried to clarify the situation, we encountered rude behavior from the staff, which affected our impression. If room comfort and staff attitude are not your top priorities, the hotel could still be a good choice — everything else was enjoyable.
