A Fantastic Stay at Reefhouse Resort & Marina! We spent a couple of nights at Reefhouse Resort & Marina, and it was great experience! The vintage old-Florida vibe of the resort really made it feel unique in comparison to most hotels. The waterfront location and pool were awesome. The staff were super friendly, especially with our kids, which made our family feel right at home. We also ate at Gus’ Grille, and it was a highlight of our stay! The Angus Burger for lunch was perfection and the Red Curry Shellfish for dinner was a real treat. Overall, we had a memorable stay and will definitely come back. If you’re heading to Key Largo, Reefhouse is definitely worth a look. Highly recommended!
Reefhouse resorts was a great place to stay. Management was constantly touching base with us to see if there was anything we needed. Our one issue was the timing of servicing the room, but it was always well cleaned by the end of the day. Additionally, we were traveling with our adult son who is disabled and uses a power wheelchair. Reefhouse was equipped with amazing facilities and sensitively to people with disabilities. There was a swimming pool lift and a beach wheelchair, although don’t expect much of a beach which is not the hotel’s fault. I think poor beaches are something you find all over the keys, so don’t pick the Keys if you want a beach vacation!with that said, the pool was a great size and wonderful to enjoy.
We stayed at this hotel over Mother’s Day weekend, hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. While the beach and pool areas were genuinely lovely and well-maintained, the condition of the room and restaurant left much to be desired — and unfortunately, it overshadowed much of our stay. The room was in shockingly poor condition. The walls were only partially painted and clearly left unfinished. The furnishings were tattered and worn, and the floors were heavily scratched. For the price we paid, I was truly surprised — I’ve stayed in other hotels from this same line that were in far better condition. This felt like a major step down, and for a hotel of this caliber, I’ve never experienced anything so rundown. The restaurant was equally disappointing. It felt very dated, and the furniture there was extremely worn. It gave the entire space a neglected feel, which didn’t match the quality one would expect based on the hotel’s reputation and rates. To make things more difficult, I didn’t notice the full extent of the room’s condition until after we had unpacked. Traveling with two small children, switching rooms would have been a huge hassle, so we stayed — but it definitely affected our ability to fully enjoy the weekend. If not for the poor condition of the room and restaurant, I would have had a wonderful stay. The beach and pool area were beautiful and relaxing. I truly hope management takes this feedback to heart and invests in much-needed updates — because with some attention and care, this property has the potential to be truly great.
