Probably only the assistant manager and a couple of the receptionists understood English and was capable of replying back in English. And probably because of that, I felt the staff not so warm at times. Nonetheless, the cafe has menu items listed in English and there are vegetarian items too! The whole hotel is themed of orange tree bonsais with tonnes of tiny oranges. This is among the things which adds a good ambience to the hotel. The breakfast selection is huge though a marking of 'contains meat/pork etc...' would've further helped the vegetarians or preferential eaters in eating worry free. Be either early or really late to the breakfast hall in the second floor to avoid a huge crowd. The sauna and steam bath facility were closed (or that's what I understood from a bit not so friendly attendants at the spa floor). There are however an array of paid spa and massage options available. A small but well equipped fitness center is available. Overall, a good hotel for the business crowd. Not the most efficient or classy but definitely above average.

I stayed here for 4 weeks when I first relocated to Shanghai, so know this hotel very well. If you need to stay in this part of Shanghai (Jinqiao area), there aren't many good choices and this is one of the best hotels that you can choose from. The price is affordable, and the rooms are big and clean. The breakfast was pretty decent. The staff do not speak much English, so that may be a problem for you. There is a new metro station that opened that's about 10-15 mins on foot now, so it is much easier to get around.

The room was for 2 people but the space was super small, the items provided by the hotel were for only 1 person, too few lights, there was a light for "make up room" but there was no make up room. The room design was very messy, the floor of the bathroom and the entrance were connected so that the water overflowed when taking a shower. The power socket was not suitable. Especially, there was a strange door here that I think was the door leading to the hotel's technical room, but it was quite scary when in the middle of the night there were lights and sounds from the inside, it seemed like it could be listened in the next room through that door. And the kettle did not keep the water warm for so long
