We had a truly wonderful stay at Regalia Gold Hotel in Nha Trang. From the very beginning, the experience exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade — we had booked a standard room but were given a deluxe partial sea view room instead. Waking up to the ocean every day was simply unforgettable. We loved it so much that we extended our stay to three weeks, and the hotel kindly allowed us to keep the same room without any additional charges. The service throughout our stay was great. As vegetarians, we had a small issue at breakfast since there was no fried rice without meat. We mentioned this to the staff, and to our delight, the next morning they had prepared a vegetarian version just for us. On one occasion, we noticed a smell of cigarette smoke coming from the bathroom. We called reception, and within minutes, they brought a fragrance diffuser to solve the issue — quick and efficient. The rooftop pool on the 40th floor is spectacular and offers stunning views, though it’s worth mentioning that the number of sunbeds is limited, especially considering how many guests the hotel hosts. For us, it was never a real problem, as we spent most of our time enjoying the pool itself rather than lounging, but it’s something to note. One minor downside was the housekeeping schedule — it was quite inconsistent. Sometimes they only seemed to come just as we returned to the room, even if we had been out for hours. A bit more predictability in this regard would have improved the experience. That said, everything else was absolutely fantastic. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of high-quality options to choose from. The hotel is also perfectly located just a 10-minute walk straight to the beach, with numerous supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and restaurants nearby. Truly an incredible stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return
Location is very good with a nice rooftop pool with great views of the city, full gym, spa, etc... Mattresses were comfortable, but bedding / towels felt a bit old. I've stayed in many 5 star hotels, but the quality here doesn't quite seem to match. I would say the rating of this hotel should be 4 star. While the overall experience was fine based on the price, honestly there are many other newer / newly renovated hotels in the area around the same price point that perhaps might be worth checking out. I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice when coming back.
We stayed here thinking it was a five-star hotel, but it felt more like a three-star experience. One of the biggest problems was the air conditioning. Our first room was extremely hot and the AC wasn’t working. When we brought it up to the front desk, they were dismissive and claimed it just takes a while to cool. Our friends came by and confirmed it definitely wasn’t working. I had to keep asking until they finally gave us a new room. No one offered to help us move our bags. Afterward, they asked for the original room key back so they could give that same overheated room to another guest later that night, which didn’t sit right with me. Even in the new room, the AC wasn’t consistent. We would set it to 18°C, but every night around 3 a.m., it would reset to 25°C and make the room hot again. Our friends had the same issue in their rooms. The AC only runs when a key card is inserted into the wall slot. I originally asked for two keys so we could keep the AC running while we were out, but they said no. I eventually got a second key after asking again, but they were hesitant. There were other frustrating issues with the room. I booked a king bed, but it was actually two twin beds pushed together. You could see and feel the divide in the bedding. The mini fridge barely got cold. The safe wasn’t secured and could be picked up. The flip-flops provided were clearly used. I flipped them over and the soles were worn down. The towels were never replaced, just folded and reused. The room was dusty, the furniture was old, and there were stains on the bed. The sink faucet and shower were both difficult to use. It was almost impossible to find a comfortable water pressure. If you moved the faucet just a little, the water blasted out. With the shower, if you turned the water pressure too high, the showerhead would rotate and spray the ceiling. It made showering more stressful than relaxing. When I stepped out onto the balcony, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. I started coughing from how strong it was. I also used the gym and was really disappointed. It was hot inside and the AC didn’t seem strong enough. Most of the equipment was outdated. The treadmill was uncomfortable to use, and many of the machines were worn out and had tears in the padding. Everything looked dusty, and I honestly didn’t feel comfortable touching any of the equipment. The buffet food wasn’t good. A lot of the food that was supposed to be hot was served cold. The pool had very few lounge chairs for the number of guests. The elevators were extremely slow and hot inside. With so many floors, we spent a lot of time waiting just to get up and down. If this hotel was listed as a three-star property, I would have managed my expectations. But they market themselves as five stars, and that sets a much higher standard. Based on my experience, they did not live up to it. I also suspect many of the positive reviews are not genuine, because they don’t match what we actually experienced.
