Every thing was good, except that fraudlescent taxi driver. On july 4, we requested a taxi from the reception. The lobby guy showed us a white cab waiting at the entrance. It took us to old town, which is 5.7 km from hotel. The taxi driver showed me a receipt and requested 96 zulaty. I said it was high, it was normally 30 zlt from hotel. But he insisted on that he was right and took 100 zlt from me and didnt give any receipt either. I tried to make a complaint to hotel, but they took no responsibility. A lobby guy called the taxi company and gave the phone to me. The lady on the phone said they dont take complaints on weekends. The 70 zlt we paid more is not the problem, this situation made our day bad and also feel negative about being a traveller in Warsaw. Shorty, be careful when taking a taxi from Regent Warsaw Hotel.
Our stay at the hotel was excellent. We initially had an issue with noisy neighbors, but after speaking to the front desk, they immediately moved us to a different room. The hotel is in a great location—close to a park and several good restaurants, and within walking distance of the city center. Breakfast was plentiful and made with fresh ingredients every morning. We definitely recommend it.
Well what to say. If you like to wake up at 4,30 am from trams roaming outside the street you shall definitely select this hotel. Also if you like friendly service this is the place to go. A few examples. Was trying to call out in Warsaw from the room on the landline. Sorry Harry, not possible. Called reception and asked them to connect me to a local Warszawa number, not possible. Receptionist asked me to come down, so I did. Was trying to book a hair dresser for my wife. Receptionist send us a cross the street to a hair saloon that’s been closed for a year. Well back we got a new address that turned out to be a barber shop for men’s only. Breakfast closed at 11 weekends we were in the amazing restaurant at 10,40. Chef in the kitchen told me they are closed. Had to beg him kindly to make a few omelets. After some Polish swore words he restart the gas stove and does the omelets. One lunch we asked to sign the meals we had to our room bills. Sorry was the answer everything shall be prepaid, we don’t do this. So in general if you want low quality service and 20 years old decorated rooms and bathrooms. This is the hotel you should select. And you will be very happy.
