I stayed at Hotel Reina Petronila in Zaragoza with a friend, and overall, we were satisfied with our stay. The hotel is pleasant and offers good service, but in my opinion, it feels more like a solid 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star experience. The breakfast, for example, was decent but didn’t stand out in any way—it lacked the variety or quality you might expect at a higher-end establishment. The SPA apartment on the top floor could definitely use an upgrade, and the way the hotel manages access to the pool, gym, and sauna without providing towels to guests is something that needs improvement. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and service-minded, and the cleaning was as expected. We got a good deal on our stay, so the value for money was acceptable. The location is a bit outside the city center and the historic old town, but public transportation is cheap and easily accessible, so this wasn’t an issue. All in all, I might consider staying here again—especially if I can get a good rate—but I hope the hotel addresses some of the details that currently fall short of 5-star expectations.

The hotel was NOT a luxury experience. We were there 6 nights, and the only good thing was the breakfast. The breakfast spread was fabulous. The hotel had a moldy smell, carpet and curtains were frayed, stain and dirty, no hot water, the shower would turn on randomly, the water leaked all over from the shower and bath, stains everywhere, dust, lighting was out or flickering, the pool was only open for children for 3 set hours a day, when I asked help, they clearly didn’t have the staff trained or enough of it to properly service people in a 5-star manner, the pillows were terrible. The staff were very kind individuals, but asking for anything most of the staff seemed clueless. I’ve had better pillows at a Motel 6. The WIFI in the rooms was 1 bar that kept dropping. Almost impossible to work. It was a huge disappointment as we were booked for so many days and I’d prepaid. I should’ve taken more photos. The parking garage was nice, but expensive.

Very unpleasant experience from check in to the badly kept pool on the top floor. This is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of imagination. Avoid
