Relais & Chateaux Chaptel Hangzhou

Very homey boutique hotel situated in west lake riverside. With good service and convenient location, we had a great stay in HANGZHOU. It’s an ideal choice for accommodation if you want to have some French touch. It’s a historical architecture and we like it very much. While driving, hotel provided valet parking with no extra charges. This is even more fantastic! 3 min walk to west lake, 15 min drive to LongJin tea plantation...... we just love everything around here! Would like to visit another Relais & Chateau chapel in HANGZHOU next time!

Lovely, well designed boutique hotel in Hangzhou that takes you back in time. The staff were caring and attentive, and made adjustments for my family, who were not feeling well. The rooms are generally 3-storey villas, well-furnished, and spacious. The bed was quite comfortable, which is worth highlighting. Only issue I had was that there were so many light switches that we didn’t know which was for which, but that was easily resolved via a quick tutorial by housekeeping.

Not sure how long this hotel has opened but definitely need some upgrade with facilities and infrastructure. Furniture look old and dirty. Internet /WIFI very unstable. Gym is TINY! Breakfast buffet choices are limited with a bunch of sweets desserts and pastries, the chef/waitress doesn’t even know what egg white omelette is and of course when they tried to help, they screwed up! I gave two positive stars because: 1. Their room is huge, spacious. But don’t stay here if you’re incapable of walking up stairs. 2. The design and location is good. But it’s in a touristy neighborhood, so can be crowded and annoying, lots of constructions going on nearby. Overall a disappointed experience and not worth the money!
