Relais du Destin

Relais du destin is a wonderful place to stay for a few days, even if you are just passing through. Francis and Horia are perfect hosts and take care of everything. Even if you booked the wrong arrival date, accidentally missed by a month and the house is fully booked, they manage to find a replacement nearby thanks to their cooperation with other hotels. The breakfast is rich and you can book an additional dinner. Everything is excellently prepared and there is a choice of good wines. The house itself is a little jewel and the huge garden invites you to linger, but a walk directly along the riverside of the Rhone at the far end of the garden is also recommended.

This is a one of a kind chateauesque type place to stay in rural France. The beautiful gardens roll down to the banks of the Rhone. The low morning sun, dew and mist on the river in the early morning were memorable! We are cycling the Via Rhona and had serious bike issues. Francis our host was most kind and went above and beyond to help us late in the day. In the end it was all fixed in time for a shower before dinner! MERCI BEAUCOUP!

This was France at its best! From the reception by the very friendly owners, to the great Chateau with the best ambiance you can get, to the huge garden at the Rhône river where you can have drinks and even the dinner table can be reserved. Food is delicious and prepared by the owners themselves. You can feel the energy and positive vibe the owners put into this great place in everything you see, hear and feel. I will definitely go back, when I have the chance.
