Fancy and affordable! If you’re going to stay in a hotel, stay here! The desk gals were the absolute sweetest. The location was quiet with lots to do in close walking distance. Rooms were really clean, air conditioning was great, elevator was a life saver, balconies had amazing views, beds were comfortable, bathroom was very spacious in the shower was perfect! When we arrived, you have to push the doorbell on the wall to let them know you were checking in. Then you will enter the garden area and walk through the glass doors on the right hand side. Then take the elevator (short trip on stairs) up to the first floor to the lobby to reception. Make sure you opt in for breakfast. There was so much food and options! If you are an American who does not like to step out of the box for breakfast, you will be fine. If you are wanting to try some authentic Italian type breakfast foods, you will be in love! Next time I go to Verona with my mom group, we won’t consider staying anywhere else besides here!
This hotel was way cuter than we expected. It’s in an old building but I really appreciated the mix of modern convenience with historic architecture. The room was very clean and cute. Location is walkable to everything you’d want to see and do in Verona (20 min) and the train station. Breakfast selection was great and had gluten free options. Hotel reception was also really helpful and let us leave our bags there and verified our train was running with the train strike.
This place is a hidden gem. Good size room, great location (near where all the attraction in Verona), but what made a difference is the super friendly service. If I can give more stars for the service, I would. We were leaving Verona early and needed breakfast before the opening hour of the hotel breakfast place. They prepared the breakfast half hour earlier and to our surprise, it was a full breakfast spread. Everything was very fresh, the breads and the pastries were just made. This hotel gave us the best experience in Italy. No other hotel offers better service than Relais Empire.
