A beautiful place and lovely staff it just need a bit if updating particularly in the bedrooms which are very dated. There is limited water pressure and the food could be more exciting but overall it is a good place to stay for a couple of days. It is essential to have a car or you will be stuck up a very steep hill with nothing to do.
Just returned from a great week in this hotel. The staff, particularly Geoffrey and Valeria were very friendly and helpful. The cookery lesson is well worth doing but we did not experience the pool or spa. Monte Castello di Vibio, although at the top of a hill, is easy to access and a great place to tour from. The rooms in the hotel are clean and but fairly basic and the food in the hotel restaurant is good. We would certainly go there again.
Wonderful architecture and views. Great hotel staff. But the place is getting worn, fixtures & fittings needing repair & the like. Very poorly stocked bar. Wi-Fi all over the place, but due to the stone structure can be quite slow. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, no heating until November! Unless you ask, same for kettle in your room, ask & it will be provided. As a 3 star it's reached its peak.
