Beautiful and romantic place. Great shower. A/C didnt work so the room was hot. We were four people on via degli dei. The day we arrived the restaurant was closed so Sabrina gave us a ride to a nearby food truck where we bought tasty and affordable dinner and wine. Breakfast was good, Sabrina also took us back to where the trek begins for this day. You can contact her in advance for a pick up from town. They have a nice swimming pool and quiet atmosphere

Have just spent a dream week in this beautiful hotel, set in the middle of the stunning Tuscan countryside surrounded by olive trees. The food was delicious and homemade. They grow their own fruit and vegetables and raise chickens. The location is ideal, it is away from the city noises but only about 30 minutes drive to Florence city centre. The staff was excellent. Jitka, the lovely and resourceful manager could not have been more helpful, always providing an answer to our questions.

I recommend you avoid this hotel! We stayed here when walking along the Via degli Dei as it is about a 25 minute detour from the trail. We did enjoy the swimming pool but that was about the only nice thing about this place. Our room was in a separate building slightly down the road. As other reviews have mentioned, the room was quite dated and also not very clean. Worst of all, it didn't have wi-fi! What hotel (especially "4 star") doesn't have wi-fi in the room in 2023? The staff confirmed they didn't offer wi-fi in the room, and the wi-fi signal could only be accessed at the reception. Because it is in the middle of nowhere the only food option was the hotel restaurant. We paid €30 for our meals which were probably the most disappointing food we had in Italy (vegetable pasta served cold). Also the included breakfast was only slices of cakes and coffee - no international breakfast items or anything savoury were offered. Not the breakfast you want for a day of hiking. Finally, the staff were rude and unhelpful. When we arrived at the restaurant they just started bringing the food over without any explanation of our options or what was on the set menu of the day. They also got annoyed when I checked in as I'd used a booking app, and annoyed again when I asked about the wi-fi signal. Basically whenever I asked for anything they seemed annoyed. They clearly didn't want to be bothered - so I think you should respect their wishes, and stay at a different hotel.
