Relais Le Macine di Stigliano

Booked 2 nights at Relais Le Macine di Stigliano with very short notice. It is only 20 minutes drive away from Siena, in a pretty and quiet location. The rooms are nicely renovated, spacious and quiet. The pool area is beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good and varied (not always the case with Italian places). Staff was great, was super helpful when asking for tips and recommendations about restaurants and what to see. Very recommended!

What an incredible experience. My wife and I stayed here to kick off our trip to Italy for a family wedding nearby. The Relais was amazing. The staff and service were extraordinary. We felt so welcome and taken care of. They were mindful of dietary restrictions at meals and helpful however possible. Our room was spacious, the grounds are atop a hill in the Tuscan countryside. Absolutely beautiful. About a 20 minute drive from Siena and an hour south of Florence. Highly recommend staying here.

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing but well serviced stay, this is it. The views are outstanding, the staff at the hotel is friendly, extremely helpful and just all around wonderful. The rooms are nice and have all you could need for a few nights’ stay. The restaurant is also lovely, great Pici! Breakfast was varied and delicious, on our second morning we even got to enjoy it in the sun on the terrace! It’s a short drive from Siena and so many cute small towns. The lovely staff at reception suggested we take the scenic route through Val d’Orcia and it was honestly one of the best parts of our trip!!
