Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa

I should start by saying I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I did have an interaction with the staff today that I’d like to share. Long story short, my sister and brother-in-law just moved to Ross Bridge and their gentle giant, blind dog figured out how to open the front door and decided to have an adventure while they weren’t home today. When he wondered up to the hotel and a guest alerted the staff, they gave him food and water and reunited us with him when we showed up an hour and a half later. They couldn’t have been more kind and helpful to us and our dog and we are so thankful and appreciative for how they handled the situation. Also, shout out to the guy on the golf course who found him and let me know where he was - you’re awesome and your help was appreciated more than you know!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the stunning Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham, Alabama, and I can say without hesitation that Carlos, the front desk supervisor, made our experience truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Carlos greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that instantly made us feel at home. His professionalism, attentiveness, and infectious enthusiasm set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Carlos went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our visit was perfect. Whether it was providing personalized recommendations for local dining and attractions, promptly addressing our questions, or ensuring our room preferences were met, his dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. His knowledge of the resort and the surrounding area was impressive, and he shared it with such passion that it elevated our entire experience. What truly stood out was Carlos’ ability to make every guest feel valued and appreciated. He handled every request with grace and efficiency, all while maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor. His leadership at the front desk clearly inspires the team, as the entire staff reflected his commitment to outstanding hospitality. Carlos is a true gem and a testament to the high standards of Ross Bridge Resort. His exceptional service turned our stay into something truly memorable, and we can’t wait to return—largely because of the incredible impression he left. If you’re staying at Ross Bridge, you’re in the best hands with Carlos at the helm! Summer at the castle for kids is awesome too!

Overall very underwhelming experience. Stayed there for the weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday. From check in, to the dinner at Brock’s, to not having our rooms cleaned (even tho I asked for it) and the staff acting put out and annoyed at any question, the entire experience was disappointing. The rooms are spacious but old. The pillows in particular were almost flat. The only good part of the weekend stay was the massage at the spa. Jan is a great masseuse. Even the spa staff didn’t bother to give us a tour of the amenities or explain anything that was included in our services. Really unfortunate given the prices and that it’s a Marriott property.
