Renaissance by Sulo

New management, but still five nights perfect stay In May we stayed twice - 3 and 2 nights - in this hotel, in rooms 504 and 314. Although we heard the management is changed (from Marriott to Sulo) we had a perfect experience. The transfers from the airport to the hotel in the night were well arranged, the receptionists were very helpful and the rooms could not be better. Although you see the decoration of the room and bathroom is a little dated, we had a comfortable stay and slept very well. The breakfast - untill 11.00 - was a joy to see and delight to eat, but we especially appreciated the very friendly lady responsible for the breakfast buffet. In good English she paid attention to us and served everyone on the best possible way. Finally the hotel has a good location, central in Aktau, very close to the shore with good restaurants and not far from the walk (with steps and stairs) along the rocky part of the coast.

I have stayed in Renaissance hotel for 2 whole days and I liked it. Room was clean with all necessities. I was lucky to have a room with the view to the sea. Within hotel there are 2 swimming pools, indoor and outdoor. Location not far from main sights. For breakfast there are variety of dishes and beverages. However, one minor disadvantage is that Hotel may host some events such as weddings. And it will be very noisy as rooms don’t have soundproofing walls. My last night in hotel I couldn’t get a sleep, as wedding lasted till late midnight.

I will update this review once the construction works are completed. Constant construction noise from approximately 9:30am onwards.Both the rooms and the restaurant area are suffering this inconvenience, fumes from the construction are also very noticeable in the corridors. Currently, I would avoid this normally excellent hotel until construction is finished.
