Our stay during the Independence Day week at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel was absolutely fantastic and 99% satisfying. A few highlights that made our experience memorable: 1. We truly appreciated the Nightly Upgrade Rewards, which allowed us to stay in a corner suite with a stunning river view. 2. The room was clean and well-organized, creating a very comfortable environment. 3. The lobby was beautifully designed with a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. 4. The Club Lounge, although not extensive in food variety, offered high-quality and delicious selections. It was quite busy during breakfast hours, but the staff handled the crowd efficiently and professionally, which we really appreciated. The only 1% downside was the lack of explanation at check-in regarding the $30 destination fee per night, which includes a $15 daily hotel credit. Unfortunately, we were not informed about this at check-in, and only learned about it from a previous guest’s review on the third day of our stay. Upon asking the front desk, we were told that the credit expires at noon each day and does not roll over — something that really should be clearly explained at check-in to ensure guests can make full use of the benefit. Aside from that, we had a truly wonderful experience and would gladly return in the future. Thank you for the great hospitality!
This hotel was very clean and in a great location. If you like to walk near the river or just sit and relax, this place is perfect. My room was very comfortable, with a nice view and good size. The service was great, and all the staff were kind and helpful. Everything felt calm and welcoming. The only small thing is I wish there was a microwave in the room. That would make it even better. But overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would come back again.
Super nice. The staff is soooo friendly and nice. Check in could be better. We are Platinum Elite and requested an upgrade but they couldn't accommodate us even though we were staying for 6 nights. But the people coming to the room are amazing. Excellent people skills. Great location. Just right for our work meetings
