Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa

Four nights here and it was sick. View of Ala Moana Bowls was insane, waves right outside the window. Swam laps, hit the hot tub, soaked in the tub after. Walked to shops and the beach no problem. Staff was fast and super chill. 10/10 coming back. This spot had everything — waves, shops, beach, gym, good food nearby, chill pool. I’m for sure coming back.

Just checked into this beautiful hotel and we are seriously impressed. Our guest ambassador "Joe" (who is excellent) filled us in on everything you need to know to make the most of your stay. His local knowledge is priceless which really makes a difference. He is an asset to the hotel. Whilst the location is not directly on the beach you are close enough to walk or be lazy and let the boys drive you and pick up in the hotels luxury shuttle bus. The significant savings made with this choice may be soon lost as you are directly opposite the famous shopping mall. Super convenient to pick up those souviners, snacks or shopping. Facilities are on point. Fresh new fit out and spacious rooms are great for families. Can't recommend Joe and the Renaissance highly enough.

This was my first time in Hawaii. I stayed in a partial-ocean view room, with 2 queen-sized beds, for 4 weeks. Overall, this hotel provided a very wonderful experience and I do recommend it! Pros: - Clean, well-kept room with a smart TV, small refrigerator, and sliding window that allows the room to serve somewhat like a balcony - Espresso machine, tea, water boiler, water bottles free with room (though you may need to ask for these to be restocked) - Walking distance to the Ala Moana mall and many food places - Close proximity to Waikiki beach - The BEST hotel gym I have seen/used - The pools and hot tubs on floor 8 are great (open from 8AM to 10PM); the hot tubs are actually hot! - The hotel staff were generally very friendly and welcoming Cons: - Sometimes the towels were not too fresh (they might need to use more detergent) - No microwave (though you can go downstairs and ask to microwave food) - Only two washing machines and two dryers, which also only take quarters (you can exchange cash for quarters in the hotel lobby) - Occasionally no hot water for showers Mixed: - The valet service can be hit-or-miss; when they are not too busy, it is wonderful; when they are busy, sometimes it takes 10+ mins to receive your car; they have a texting system to request your car in advance, but sometimes this fails
