Beautiful clean elegant hotel. Wonderful views of the water and city. Breakfast is wonderful with fresh egg omelette station, salads, pastries and local foods. Elevators quiet and quick. Definitely worth staying for the prices. It is about 10 min cab ride from the main areas.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 7 days, and I must say, it was the worst experience I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place at all. Customer Service: The service here is simply unacceptable. The staff displayed racist behavior and seemed to prioritize their countrymen over tourists. It felt as if they did not support tourism at all. Whenever I asked for assistance, they were unhelpful and dismissive. Costs: To make matters worse, the hotel is overpriced. The cost of the room was high, yet it came with no extras at all—no breakfast, no laundry services, nothing. Every little request I made seemed to incur additional charges, which is incredibly frustrating. Cleanliness: Although there is a cleaning crew that comes daily, I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness. The room had a persistent damp smell that lingered throughout my stay. They mention on a paper in the room that bedding is changed every three days, but after a week, I can confirm they never changed the bedding even once. Overall, I would advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other options that will provide a much better experience.

Disappointing Stay Despite the Brand Name – Needs Serious Improvement Unfortunately, my recent experience at Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel fell well below expectations, especially considering the reputation and price of the hotel. • Location: The hotel is difficult to reach, particularly if you’re unfamiliar with the area or relying on public transportation. It’s not in a tourist-friendly or easily accessible zone. • Accessibility & Staff: While the building is physically accessible, the staff communication was poor and unhelpful. There was a noticeable lack of professionalism and warmth, which made interactions frustrating instead of welcoming. • Room & View: The view was not as described in the booking details—definitely not worth the price premium. The air conditioning was not functioning properly, making the room uncomfortably warm, and sound insulation was very poor. I could clearly hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms, which affected my sleep quality. • Housekeeping: This was one of the worst aspects of my stay. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, and basic services were inconsistently provided. Requests took a long time to be fulfilled, if at all. • Parking: Although they advertise free parking, the reality is more complicated. The car parking is located in the -2 and -3 basement levels, making it inconvenient and time-consuming to use. In addition, extra charges are applied, which is misleading and adds to the overall expense. • Value for Money: Overall, extremely overpriced for the quality of service, comfort, and amenities provided. I expected far more from a hotel under the Marriott brand. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant changes are made in service quality, maintenance, and transparency in what they offer.
