Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel

I’ve been coming here for work for 7 or 8 years. The paid parking was started around COVID and really felt like a cash grab. People I work with just don’t pay it and nothing ever happens. It’s a separate company and not tied to your credit card. I don’t feel like people should be charged to park in an empty lot in a suburban mall. Where is the money going? Security? Because I never see any. Rooms are very nice and I know when I come it will be a quiet sleep which is the only thing that matters to me. The lobby music is too loud and too intense and has the opposite effect I suspect it is trying to achieve. It smells like powder perfume you can’t escape and I’m so grateful the rooms do not smell that way. Overall a good stay though.

Stayed here for two nights for a work trip. The location was convenient, the restaurant was great, and the rooms were decent. But my God, the AC was terrible. You can set your thermostat to whatever you want, but the centrally controlled HVAC system has a mind of its own. I set mine to 64 hoping it would cool down, but it stayed around 72 all night.

I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience at this Marriott location. After my stay, I was shocked to find an additional unauthorized charge of $700.68 on my account. My stay was $511.00 which i'm okay with but I immediately reached out to the hotel to understand the reason for this charge, but I have received no clear explanation or support. The staff has been completely unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to assist or take accountability. This is completely unacceptable for a brand that prides itself on customer service. I trusted Marriott, but this experience has left me feeling taken advantage of and ignored. I will absolutely not be returning, and I strongly advise others to check their billing statements carefully and be cautious when staying here. when you call they don't know when said person will return.
