The rooms were very clean and modern. I really enjoyed walking around the area- great food. Only negative- their breakfast was not on time- which is rough when you have a scheduled meeting. So they upgraded me to have Lounge access- where the breakfast was also not ready ( advertises 5am, but it came out at 6:30/6:40) Although you can get bagels and cereal. I saw a couple people wait and then leave.
Booked this hotel to be close to Citi Field for a concert and its location was perfect! 20 minute easy walk to the stadium. It’s also right in the Chinatown area of Flushing- so lots of great eats! The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy. For being such a central location, there was no street noise and the hotel itself was quiet. Air conditioning worked well. Only complaint is our room’s shower had ONLY cold water coming out of it and the shower pressure was very low. The sink had hot water though. So needless to say, our showers were very very short. I did bring this issue up with the concierge when I was checking out. So I hope they fixed this issue for the next guests- room 1026. Otherwise, it would’ve been the perfect stay.
Can't recommend this hotel to friends and family anymore. Poor hygiene standards. Day 1: They gave me a dirty room. I'm sure they "cleaned" it in 5 minutes. Sink has black marks everywhere. Blood stains on not one but two towels. The girl at the front desk was not helpful or empathetic. Day 2: Housekeeping aggressively knocked on our door early in the morning. We never asked for housekeeping via the tablet, so it was sketchy that they wanted to come in. We later requested housekeeping at 1pm before we left the hotel, but guess what? We came back at midnight to a dirty room. No one came to clean. The housekeeping icon on the tablet was still green. Took over 30 minutes and 2 attempts to get fresh towels. I know this isn't the four seasons, but guests deserve cleanliness and some level of hospitality. And don't get me started on those disgusting decorative pillows! They are dirty and smelly as heck. Stop putting them on the bed! Get rid of them altogether. I do want to give a shout out to Stephen who genuinely tried to help when I voiced my frustrations at midnight. I assumed he was the manager because of how proactive and hardworking he was. They should make him manager asap. He will make the Renaissance great again.
