Renaissance Residences Oahu Honolulu

This 5 star hotel was exactly 5 star! It is a wonderful place to stay. Staff is very friendly. Rooms were done every day. Our room had a king size bed and a full kitchette with washer and dryer. Bathroom is modern and supplied with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Low lighting comes on as you walk into bathroom. Toilet has a bidet. A $48 destination fee is charged every day but is credited if you dine at their restaurant called Sera, coffee bar, or pool bar. Breakfast was approx. $20-30 per person, but food was Great. I recommend sharing beteen two persons as the portions are generous.Dining is quite expensive at $30 to $80 per person. Across the street is the parking to the Ala Moana mall. This is a big mall with all the big name stores. Totally enjoyed my stay at this hotel!

Easy walk to Waikiki, without the noise. Nice room, some have great ocean views. Beware, some rooms have a 48 resort fee attached, even on a government rate. You do get a 3/4 kitchen and washer dryer in those rooms. Just make sure you know which one your getting. Also, those don't have the ocean view and are not upgradeable at all. We've stayed there 3 times and love it. Location mostly, but restraint downstairs is great too

Started ok but gradually fell away. The hotel is ok for business travellers but not really suited for those on holiday. The location is not near a beach 15 minute walk through a shopping centre. The food a a beverage manger needs to focus to the breakfast service (20 minute wait for a table) House keeping team were excellent. The valet parking and resort charges were high but we were advised in advance so no complaints. However add $100 a day to the room rate to get a true cost. The resort fee can be used to cover the cost of food brought on site. To summarise this is a good hotel but not 5 star. If you are on business it will be fine. I would not stay again.
