Stayed in early August for four nights while attending an amazing wedding and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The setting was beautiful and the hotel has amazing views of the Apennine mountain range. The rooms were great and spacious (I tried two during my stay) but the bathtub didn’t dispense water quickly in both rooms. That was my only little gripe. The staff were exceptional, always polite, accommodating, and incredibly friendly. No task was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail made the stay truly special. My stay was a fantastic memory.
Absolutely amazing location. We stayed for couple of days in early june for a wedding. The views from the hotel terrace are amazing. The room was big and beautiful. The indoor pool is a bit of trek but was very nice. Outdoor pool area has beautiful views. Has a nice big restaurant. The breakfast was a bit of let down as was expecting fresh bakery items but it looked more store bought. Would definitely stay here again for the views.
I stayed here for 7 days in May for a conference and overall had a good experience. Our room had a great view of the mountains and the bed was very comfortable, although everything in the hotel seemed a bit dated. They cleaned the room each day and we did room service twice and it was prompt and tasty. My husband ate at the restaurant for all meals (really the only food options are the ones on property) and said it was good. The views are amazing! It is very secluded - to get to Lucca it is 100 euro taxi (one way) and to get to Barga it is a 40 euro taxi. We just enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and then did a bit of walking around the hotel which is very nice but up a giant hill. We also walked to a nice winery that was about a mile away in a small town. The service was excellent at the bar and the front desk- they helped us call taxis when we needed them. Our biggest downside was our shower was either burning hot or freezing cold and the water was basically a trickle.
