Resort Al Castello

Great historical hotel in a house from 1460. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. Could use a little refreshment but still remains charming. The service is good at the hotel and excellent at the restaurant! The hibou restaurant is excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Service was more than perfect and the food quality and refinement is exquisite. Excellent overall!

We stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon. We were received by an unfriendly receptionist who was unable to recommend somewhere to eat, or help us with the luggage. The rooms were advertised as quiet and soundproof, but they are all (!) connected rooms with only a thin wooden door between the rooms. We had to argue with the receptionist to switch rooms, so that we at least wasn’t squeezed in between two families with small children. There’s not much to do in the town, so we had to drive quite far to escape the resort at daytime, and find something interesting to do. The breakfast was decent, but would not recommend the restaurant’s dinner service. It’s not worth the price. Overall I would not recommend staying here. There are a lot of other more interesting and friendly places nearby. Edit: I think my point is proven by the reply from the staff/owner below👇🏻

Shocking… arrived after a long drive, massive wedding on in full Euro Pop party mode .. sat at pool (needed ear defenders), asked for a beer and was told “No service .. busy setting up dinner”!!! It’s a tumble down place.. a million miles from the pictures, with sullen staff, no parking and poor facilities.
