Resort Borgo San Rocco

A beautiful hotel set high in the hills, overlooking stunning scenery. Just around the corner is the St Nicholas church (Godfather fans are in for a treat), and thereafter a gentle stroll down to Savoca, a stunning, quiet and pretty little village. Great restaurants and places to sit and watch the world go by. The surrounding area is lovely, breathtaking. As for the hotel: equally pretty, and it really does have the wow factor. The best staff I have ever known, and you are made to feel so welcome and part of the family immediately. Nothing is too much effort, everything runs on rails. The staff are there but are not in any way in your face and intrusive. It’s all very laid back but super efficient. There is a pool, and it has to be the prettiest location for one I’ve seen. Great good, lovely wines. We were here for a wedding, for which the hotel really pulled it out of the bag. I cannot rate this place highly enough. My one observation: if you are staying here and not looking to go too far, you can walk; if you’re using it as a base to explore further afield, hire a car, as public transport is great fun but not entirely reliable. Great place, great people; we will be back. Thank you for making our stay very special.

Great stay, perfect location hidden in the mountains amongst local residents and restaurants. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and catering for any requirements. Heads up, if you rent a car , make it small !
