Resort Colonia

Well, what should I say is that is a small-friendly resort, nice pool but the rooms… they need a little bit of modernization. The rest is fine.

We chose this hotel based on the excellent reviews, especially the praise for the restaurant and the breakfast. We arrived around 8 PM after a long journey, planning to continue on the next day. Unfortunately, upon check-in, we were informed by the receptionist that the hotel was experiencing technical issues — the restaurant was not operating and there was no hot water. It would have been helpful to be informed of this in advance, either by phone or email. We were still looking forward to the breakfast, which was described in reviews as absolutely exceptional. Sadly, it did not meet our expectations — the ham and vegetables seemed dried out, and the biggest disappointment were the juices. There were two kinds, but neither tasted good, and they seemed to be among the cheapest options, with a strong artificial sweetener taste. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful, the surroundings are wonderful, and the price for the stay was very reasonable. We truly believe the hotel has great potential, and with better communication and improvements to the breakfast offering, the overall experience could be significantly better.

Amazing location, very good food and in the beginning also very friendly staff… But… if you come here for your rest - as we did - be aware of very loud parties until midnight… The worst thing is that - when we said we wanted some rest - the staff completely changed its behavior from very friendly to very rude. And they even took away the coffee machine just to bully us. It wasn’t broken (as they said) and when we asked to check it they said it was already sent for repair.. So really sad we booked here. It looked so nice, based on all the reviews we saw
