On our way home from Italy tonsweden we needed a place to stay an relax after driving. This was super nice, sauna saltpool good breakfast. We even had a nice sauna and swim in the lake after breakfast.

The wellness areas are extensive. We stayed for three days and had plenty to try. The included activities like yoga made it feel like a "resort" and not just a hotel. I didn't appreciate for an expensive stay and buffet that water is not included as part of the dinner buffet.

I really love this place, especially for a day visit, but after staying overnight for the third time, it’s starting to feel like hotel guests are treated as second-class citizens. The buffet at the Therme costs €35 per person for hotel guests, while day visitors get it for free. Similarly, overnight guests now have to pay for parking—even when booking a suite—while day guests park for free. It feels like the rather expensive room rate is just a base price, with everything else coming as an extra charge, much like booking a flight with Scoot Airlines. The rooms are nice but starting to show their age, and while the Therme is still spectacular, it, too, could use some care. Fontane, you will always have a special place in my heart, but it feels like you’re letting things slip. Another issue is the 4 PM check-in time. You end up arriving around noon, going to the Therme until you get hungry, then having to leave to check in. After settling into your room, you return to the Therme, then leave again for dinner, only to go back once more. This constant back-and-forth disrupts what should be a relaxing experience. The whole system could be much better thought out. For €400 (a discounted price) for less than 24 hours—plus parking and food—next time, I’ll book an Airbnb nearby and just get a day pass..
