We had a great stay joining parents for a long weekend who were there for the week. A great location with easy access to other places to visit! The cabin was spotless and everything we needed was provided, dog friendly which was important to us and they even provided a little dog box. The outside space was excellent, a nice table and chairs as well as a coffee table and soft seating. The hot tub was HOT and very clean, one of the best we have had-I know that sounds odd but we have often been disappointed with the heat and cleanliness of the hot tub in the past. The cabin was peaceful and where there were others around we did not feel overlooked, it was the perfect sun trap with a great view of the river. We are looking forward to returning and on doing so we will be asking for the same cabin as it was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Retallack Resort, and I can confidently say it was a memorable experience! The resort is beautifully situated in the picturesque Cornish countryside, providing a perfect backdrop for our getaway. Our accommodation was spacious and modern, featuring a nice deck, hot tub, and BBQ area, which added to our enjoyment. However, I found the dining options at the resort to be quite limited. If you plan to stay for more than a day or two, I highly recommend exploring nearby areas for a wider variety of food choices. While our overall experience at the resort was enjoyable, I would advise future guests to be cautious when booking accommodations through private lenders. It’s usually best to rent directly from the main management company to ensure a smoother experience. The playground, playroom, and tennis courts were quite basic, and the water sports area felt small and limited. Additionally, while parking was ample and there were a few car charging points, it seemed inadequate for the number of units and guests. We stayed at Poppin 21 and, unfortunately, were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit. When we brought this to the owner's attention, we were told that if we weren’t satisfied, we could pack up and leave for a partial refund. That’s certainly not what you want to hear after a long six-hour drive from London, especially with kids in tow. If it weren’t for the issues with this particular unit, I would have rated the resort itself a solid 5 stars!

Extremely disappointed, definitely NOT 5 star. Mouldy damp apartment, reported a dripping tap for 2 days. Did absolutely nothing about it. Very dirty, self catering at its worst. No house keeping, if you have any form of breathing disorder you best stay away from here, it is a health hazard. It is lacking some serious ventilation, which causes a damp environment. We stayed 4 nights any longer I believe we would have started to feel the impact of the damp. Definitely not 5 star accommodation or service. Staff lied to us about having access to the room to rectify the dripping tap, so I guess that set the tone. Avoid this over priced place!
